Deep Condition

SoOo I tried to deep condition tonight using a mixture of:
Mayonnaise, Egg, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Oil and Honey in a mixture that I kept in for about 15-20 minutes then rinsed.

The results: I think I smell like an omelet? The hair is shinier and softer than before I deep conditioned. Time to braid this up, slip on my satin cap and hit the sack :-) Good Night All!

The Mission to Greatness

As always I am on a mission to GREATNESS! I am seeking to achieve this all around. Through better living, parenting and appearances. I hope that in the blog world I can meet you people on the same mission willing to share their struggles and how it led them to success. We are all the next Bill Gates, Barak Obama and Oprah Winfrey waiting to happen. How will you achieve Your Greatness?

The Growth Aid - Trial & Error with MN

Following up from the last post I did say that I would let you know my current regimen. After some research on the net I came across many persons who have used MN also known as Miconozale Nitrate.

This element is usually found in Monistat and anti-fungal creams.

The fact that it is found in creams/ointments for things that itch, has been a deterrent for some people. But me?...Oh hell yes! I am sooooo forging ahead with this one.

I have been using it for about 3 to 4 weeks now and for the first time this morning I actually think that there was growth. Imagine that!... or maybe I am imagining things. Unfortunately, I didn't measure my hair before I started but my edges were kinda thin and they fact that they are filling in; is growth to me.

I have used the MN in varying forms:
1. Plain (with no oils or greases)
2. MN with JBCO (Jamiacan Black Castor Oil)
3. MN with JBCO, Glycerine, Peppermint Oil and Coconut Oil

I will keep this up and see how it works out & of course; I will let you know :-)

The Hair Must Grow

All this time I realized that I have never really said much about my hair other than the fact that I am on a journey to make it grow and be healthy. All through the internet when searching for hair tutorials or information the majority of the advice being given is from amazing ladies with hair types ranging from a 2 to 3c.
Unfortunately, I don't find much on 4a-4c hair which is the type that I have. If anyone out there knows where this information is hiding I would be delighted to have a go at it.

But back to the matter at hand... my hair. My hair I think is a 4a-4c... extremely kinky. I wet it... it shrinks. I air dry...it shrinks. I braid it...it shrinks. Basically it shrinks and makes my shoulder length (when stretched) look like a TWA (teeny weeny Afro). Imagine That!

Currently, I am trying to construct a hair regimen that I could be comfortable with and would aid in actual hair growth. I will focus on that in my next blog... let's see how this pans out! :-)
